Aquarists know that tap water can be lethal to any living organism (fish, plants). The main enemies are chlorine, nitrates, phosphates, fluoride, heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides and many other equally dangerous things. Anyone who really wants to enjoy their hobby for a long time knows the importance and purpose of treating the water we need to live.
These instruments are supplied with a built-in pressure pump, permeate quality control, automatic membrane flushing and backwashable pre-filters. They yield approx. 50% permeate and approx. 50% concentrate. They work even at the lowest water pressure in the pipeline.
All models are equipped with a rinsing device. Regular rinsing can extend the life of the membranes by years. The "Super" models still have a carbon filter connected behind them to remove even the last remnants of dissolved gases (such as chlorine) from the permeate. hW-Reverse osmosis units up to 160 litres daily output operate with a normal water pressure between 2 and 6 bar. At a pressure of 4 bar and a water temperature of 15° Celsius they yield 20% permeate and 80% concentrate. Higher water temperatures (up to a maximum of 40° C) or higher pressures (up to a maximum of 6 bar) improve the permeate to concentrate ratio and, in addition, increase the litre output. With colder water or lower pressures, the ratio deteriorates and the litre output also deteriorates.
Complete reverse osmosis equipment "hw"
Model "Super 75" hw with a daily output of 65-85 litres of permeate *
Model "Super 100" hw with a daily output of 90-110 litres of permeate *
Model "Super 130" hw with a daily output of 120-140 litres of permeate *
* Daily output is calculated for a water temperature of 15° C/59° F and a tap water pressure of 4 bar. Higher water temperatures (up to a maximum of 40° C/104° F) or higher pressures (up to a maximum of 6 bar/87 PSI) give higher daily outputs. If the water is colder or the pressure is lower, the daily output is reduced. The membrane will reach its optimum performance after approximately 150 h of operation.
Instructions for installation and for use
ATTENTION! Water temperatures higher than 43° C/109° F will upset the diaphragm (the most expensive part of the unit). Therefore, the unit should only be connected to pipes that carry cool water. The device operates from a tap water pressure of 3 bar/43 PSI . For continuous operation, do not exceed 6 bar or 90 PSI. There is an increased risk of chlorine damage to the membrane when high or surge doses are used in chlorinating drinking water. Please protect the unit from freezing and drying out as both will also upset the membrane. These listed faults are not covered by the warranty!
